Trenchless Pipe Repair Materials and Equipment Top of the line tools and materials

Trenchless pipe repair is a process that makes repairing drain lines more economical, more efficient and more convenient. Waeco has partnered with Perma Liner Industries to bring you the cutting edge in trenchless pipe repair technology.
For a better understanding of how the system makes drain pipe repairs more manageable, here is a breakdown of the major components used.

Resin
The patented Perma liner resin is a 2 part epoxy that cures in place, forming a brand new pipe inside the existing pipe line. In its liquid state, the resin migrates to fill any cracks or holes in the pipeline. Different resins are made to accommodate the temperatures of different climates. Ambient cure time is ~3 hours, a process that can be sped up to as little as ~20 minutes with a steam assisted cure.

PU-lined bladder
Fiber glass mat incorporated into a felt liner that has a poly urethane coating on the inside. The bladder is inverted into the pipeline, pressurized into the desired shape, and is given its structure and rigidity by the hardened resin, providing a reliable PU inner lining to transport the contents of the pipe.

Inverter
The inverter is a large mobile machine that takes the replacement liner and inverts it into the existing pipe by pressurizing it, giving it the form it needs and maintaining it long enough for the resin to cure.

Camera
CCTV camera with pan and tilt functions that is fed down the pipe for a non invasive, close up, thorough inspection of pipeline conditions. This is how we pinpoint the location of the problem, determine the diameter and length of the pipe lining, and calculate how much resin will be needed.

Vac --- a --- Tee
A patented a tee shaped pipe attachment that allows us to create an access point when none is available. The fitting seals onto the top of a lateral pipe, providing a vertical entry into the existing pipe.

This technology allows us to assess and repair pipes without excavating, and in the course of less than a day. With tools to make the process adaptable to various conditions, we’ve got a versatile solution that can greatly reduce the headache involved in almost all drain pipe failures.

My uncle is thinking about getting his sewer pipes relined so that he can have better pipes. he would really like to get them done by a professional so that it can be really helpful. It was interesting to learn about how an inner lining should have structure and accommodate different temperatures.
