Waeco recently installed a new backbone for fiber optics communications in Downtown Seattle. The loop consists of ~12 miles of fiber optic cabling in a loop though the city.
The crowded downtown setting always comes with its own challenges. The sites in question have long been in public use, and adjacent areas needed to remain accessible to the public throughout construction. This means little room to work and much coordinating, especially in the way of things like permitting and Traffic Control Plans.
To excavate the dirt underneath the city streets, we used a mini excavator and a vac truck.
The goal was to be as accommodating as possible to the busy city environment. Work spaces had to be kept tight, schedules had to be coordinated, and we had to leave everything as if we were never there.
Make challenging jobs less challenging
Complex civil jobs like these have a lot of moving parts and red tape to deal with, demanding a lot of coordination. This increases the risk of error and adds time to the work. To save yourself time, money and headache, you can hire a turn key contractor who can handle all of it: engineering, permitting, and construction.
For Seattle area based telecomms projects, you can hire Waeco Construction out of Monroe, WA. Call us at 360 794 7785 or fill out one of our contact form.
